What is Kola?
Kola is an AI voice agent for bank customer service. It phones a bank's customers, talks to them in clear Nigerian English, Nigerian Pidgin or Yoruba, and helps with things like returning to a quiet wallet, finishing verification and checking a balance. It is built by KOLAPPTECH LTD in Nigeria.
Does the customer need an app or a PIN?
No. The customer answers a normal phone call. Kola never asks for a PIN, password, one-time code or card number.
Which languages does Kola for Banks speak?
English, Nigerian Pidgin and Yoruba. Igbo and Hausa are coming soon. Kola opens in English and asks which language the customer would rather use. See the languages page for detail.
How does Kola get real account information?
Kola does not guess. When it needs a balance or a status, it calls the bank's own API and only says what that API returned. The reference integration is with BMONI.
What happens when a call is too complex for Kola?
Kola flags the case for the bank's team and passes on the full call transcript, so the customer does not have to repeat themselves.
How long does it take for a bank to connect Kola?
Roughly one week of engineering to map Kola's tool functions to the bank's API. The for-banks page explains the steps.
Is Kola only for one payment provider or one bank?
No. Kola is built to plug into any bank's customer service layer. BMONI is the live reference integration, not a limit.
How is customer data handled?
Kola follows the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023. Customers can ask to see, correct or delete their data, or to not be called again. Read the privacy policy for the details.
Is there a version for businesses that are not banks?
